Return Time: Between 5:00–5:30 PM
Travel through the heart of Connemara with Larry’s small-group chauffeur tour. From charming villages to scenic lakes and historic landmarks, this full-day experience showcases the wild, romantic soul of the West of Ireland.
Stop 1: Cong Village
Step into cinematic history and ancient charm
Nestled at the meeting point of County Galway and County Mayo, Cong is best known as the filming location for The Quiet Man. Its narrow lanes, ivy-clad stone cottages, and peaceful riverbanks invite you to slow down. Visit the haunting ruins of Cong Abbey, stroll through moss-covered woods, or discover a hidden bookshop or artisan craft studio.

Stop 2: Lough Corrib Scenic Overlook
Nature at its most peaceful
We pause at a viewpoint offering a sweeping vista over Lough Corrib, a shimmering lake dotted with over 300 small islands. On a clear day, you’ll catch reflections of the Twelve Bens mountains in the water. It’s a photographer’s dream and a place to just breathe and take in the stillness.

Stop 3: Aasleagh Waterfall
A secret waterfall with wild surroundings
Tucked between steep cliffs at the edge of Killary Fjord, this waterfall feels untouched and raw. It’s a favorite spot for salmon during the spawning season, and the surrounding soundscape—water tumbling, sheep bleating—feels almost meditative. A short walk leads you to the perfect vantage point.

Drive Along Killary Harbour
Ireland’s only fjord, dramatic and unforgettable
As we cruise along this glacial fjord, you'll see landscapes shaped by ice and time. On one side, mountain peaks rise starkly; on the other, tidal waters reflect the sky. This is Connemara at its most awe-inspiring—rugged, quiet, and full of soul.

Stop 4: Kylemore Abbey (1.5+ hours)
A castle, a monastery, and a garden in one magical place
Kylemore Abbey is a fairy-tale vision of Connemara. Built in 1868 as a romantic gift, today it houses a Benedictine community. Explore the majestic Gothic church, stroll through the 6-acre Victorian walled garden, and enjoy homemade lunch at the abbey café, which uses fresh produce from its own land.
